Sounds quite possible. My 2001 with 502 mpi's, CMI exhaust, Vortech flame arrestor, and Bblades labbed 28+ bravo 1's ran a best of 75.4mph gps.

Look at a 340 or 380 PowerQuest. Great boat with lots of cabin space. A 340 (2001 or later) will run close to 80 with 496's. My 380 with 502's ran 75 with CMI exhaust.

Just measured mine and it was around 2" below bottom (give or take a little), but drives were trimmed up a bit. Slip at WOT is around 15%, 24% at 3500rpm, 19% at 4000rpm.

Yikes!!! I just changed mine for the first time after about 7 years...and they still looked and performed great. Only reason that I changed them was that I was replacing the plug wires.

I see/read a LOT of recommendations for NKG BR6FS or even the AC Delco Rapid Fire Platinum #1 for both the 454 and 502 mpi's. I use the AC Delco Rapid Fire Platinum #1 plugs.
