This engine will have 530 Hp @ the crank :) :)
I also heard that tje 496 HO has 425 Hp at the prop shaft. But when I started to check it, all real documentation shows...

I have been thinking of adding a Raylar kit to my 496, it gives 530 HP, It will actually cost more inluding kit + work then
selling my 496 HO and buying the 500 EFI

But it is an option :-)

If you look at the picture of my transom you can see how the 280 are mounted.
According to the owner before me, this way works very well...
