And IMCO SC drives are frail too, not much better than any of the Merc Bravo offerings since they use the same junk gears. Case stability is an issue, but the real issue is the puny Merc gear set...

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with his theory, but it as you pointed out the the thermal expansion/contraction is faster in low viscosity fluid than in air. Like MUCH faster. Don't quote me,...
