Yes,I torque them about 50-75% of the recomended...

Yes,I torque them about 50-75% of the recomended 80 lbs.inch for the 1/4" and 165 lbs.inch for the 5/16" when I install the oilpan,and torque them all the way the day after.

I use RTV all over the surfaces when I'm...

I use RTV all over the surfaces when I'm installing BBC oil pans.
And I'm not torque the bolts all the way before the RTV is dry.
Never a leak so far.
