Having surgery in Sept. 45 years old and routine physical found early signs of Colon Cancer :( Still hard to believe but lucky they found it before it spread.

I had it Align-honing 'themains' previous to the stroking to 496.. and all was great.
No dought it has something to do with this aftermarket/new crank.
I think I will just wait and shoot the dice...

Chris, what do you mean the engine came down?
Yes that will have to be the first think I check.

The block was alignhoned(sp).

The first time my machine shop I have delt with for 20 years put the bottom end together because I did not have time.
Everything was mic'd crank was turned down to give me the clearence for a boat....
