And in June I was only 100yards from the Statue of Liberty and there was not a patrol to be seen. 100 yards could pass very quickly at 60mph+. Especially w/ a bow full of explosives. But then...

I'm getting live reports from downtown Manhattan.
Coast Guard RIBs w/ twin 225s, 2 machine guns- 1bow/1stern.
There are a bunch of these stopping center consoles and bow riders etc...
