The loud bang I cant explain off the top of my head unless it was the prop slamming against the retaining ring

yes the prop rubbing the drive will cause a rpm loss

1) if it was in there and broke or shattered the zinc would be scared up and it looks fine to me

2) if it did break it would have broken in to REALLY small pieces to disapear through the prop hub

Ive never seen one just disappear, When I install props I use an batt impact with 180 ftpd and tourque them much more the the specs call for never never had one break what drives are you running...

in 25 yrs never seen one break have seen them wear when a prop spins a hub, did someone just put prop on?????

are you sure its not stuck in the back of the prop?????
