due the lower X-Dim. on the older hull - you should look into -2 shorties to really benefit from the HP gain.

not to heavy - twin style - it's back on now - I ran it like that to make it easier to check for leaks & potential problems after my rebuilds.

From what I understand - the newer 35X's 01-05 have a higher X dim. as compared to '97-'99 models - this would explain the Top Speed differences. Is anyone running -2" shorties on a '97-99 model??

I was hoping for more top end as well - I'm run'in stock drives & no boxes - when I spoke with Throttle up last week, after reviewing my #'s they suggested 1 spacers to lower my drives thus reducing...

I'd like to try a set of Hydros - (before I waste more money) - my best run was with 32 pitch bravos so far.

I find these #'s hard to swollow - I have two new 625hp motors(on the dyno) in the same hull, same drive ratio (tried the same props) & I'm almost 10 mph slower with 100hp more per side :( WHATS...

ran a disappointing 83.5 this morning - running a bit fat - engine builder is going to come & dial it in :rolleyes: hopefully.

10 mph gain @ 3500 wow, most guys I boat with will have to keep it to the pins just to keep up to your cruise speed. :eek: - I'm going to have to look into a set of those -

I think its safe to say I'm going to need bigger props & mid to upper 80's is very possible w/600hp. :drink:

Motors are just about finished - pulled 625 hp @ 5400 rpm on the dyno last week (hello 80's here I come) - I can't wait for the weather to break - come on spring :cool:

H2X - congrats on the Fountain purchase - those are good #'s - How you like it compared to your Baja? I traded up from a 32 Sunsation at the end of the season.
