lots of times Steve skewed actual hp numbers on his test boats. he says 700 when its more like 1000 ( which is sick in my opinion). His 144 mph boat was every bit of 1500 hp ~

Never happen in an SR . I ran in the low 120's ...

Never happen in an SR . I ran in the low 120's with about 1000 hp in an SS but that boat would have gone 125 -127 legit that day but nobody had a tall enough prop.
