As far as taking them apartand inspecting them, the upper is alot like a trs just bigger, seal drivers are needed to replace the seals but just to inspect on the upper some o-rings and some perfect...

I would have them resealed.....it is cheap insurance seven year-old seals not good. I would take a real close look at the Drive shaft bellows too. Ed
