yup! We have a used 38 with carbed 500's and it runs mid 70's. So a 525 boat runs high 70's to 80. Hugh would better tell you about price difference. Even with a 525 you still should do valve train...

150 hours on these motors is no big deal with someone who is maintnance driven. The biggest thing for these motors is to do the valve train around 150 to 200 and the head gaskets around 250 -300. ...
