I went a different route, bought a buddys old...

I went a different route, bought a buddys old boat with 547CI 600 hp and dropped those in, sold off all the old parts and the rest of the boat I bought and made all my money back, the Mistress now...

I know to push the Mistress to 65 they have to be at least 480-500 hp now....I dont expect to gain nearly as much as you did just by going roller, to gain 9 mph that old cam must have been very weak...

It really depends on what I do to boat otherwise, my engines run fine in reality, but I cracked a pan on one and didnt see till after boat was together, so I have to pull it, and may as well repaint...

One of my engines have the KB KB-203 pistons, 12 cc domes looks like, no idea what I was thinking 110 cc lol

the other engine has the forged TRW same dome, I dont have that part number handy yet..

Engines are coming out to seal leaks and paint anyway so cams are no big deal to me... I don't the Merlin's are that bad or worse then stock 420 heads... I know in the past when I chose the right cam...
