Well, I ran through some pretty rough water today and the lid didn't make a sound.

Also, as far a standing goes, this addition makes standing more of an option.

I am going to put some velcro to hold it down. I had the same problem with my cabin hatch top. Velcro did the trick.

We'll see....

Here's another angle of the footrest. I don't think it will be in the way if someone wanted to stand. It might actually help. You know what happens when you are designing...

My passengers and I don't ever stand, even in the roughest water. I'm still thinking of going to buckets like t-mone's boat.
