My enclosure I'm building surrounds the flame arrestor,
and is ducted to the sides, near the inlet vents, so it
will pick up external air.....basically doing the same thing
your system is doing.

Tom,

Being that the engine is going to be drawing air in
from a cooler source, away from the ambient, heated
engine compartment air, will the ambient engine room temp.
go up ?
