On Grass Lake in the Chain O'Lakes in northeastern Illinois. The Chain is a group of lakes formed by the Fox River system. About an hour and a half north of Chicago.

2 hours from Milwaukee at most. You can put in at Blarney's boat launch on Grass Lake Road by their other bar where the shuttle boat goes out to the island. There is plenty of parking for trailers....

Boy, do I miss that place. I spent many years at the boat races before moving and there is nothing like it anywhere. I hope it is still the same. Do they still have the famous "Miss Chain O'Lakes"...
