Thanks for the info.
I sharpened my IMCO skeg and trimmed <1/16 off my through hull PU's and gained 2.5MPH.
Ken Warby trimmed off his rudder a bit and picked up even more MPH.
But....be safe!

Have you ever thought about taking an inch or two off the skeg? Less parasitic drag, less stern lift=more bow lift
Does that PU feed both engines and innercoolers?

Wrong way. -2 is added to the 19.5 for an adjusted X of 21.5"
Meaning, with a stock drive your crankshaft CL would be 21.5" above the running surface....so to speak. It just tells manufacturers...

Find out the distance between the input shaft CL...

Find out the distance between the input shaft CL and propshaft CL of a standard drive (22.5?). Subtract the distance the propshaft is below the running surface at neutral trim.
That'd be true X,...

I tried some P5X's and the mid wasn't as good as the Max's. Couldn't do a top end run because I was all over the limiters. I was in need of the 35's at that time(engine mods)....
