Fuel does not cool converters, in fact it is the opposite.

Most converters go bad when something else causes the engine to dump un-burnt fuel down the exhaust, such as a constant ignition...

I don't agree. Today's boats are faster because of advanced composites (lighter), steps, and better bottoms.

430hp per side will not get an older 38 ft boat to 80mph
