I ran a couple of 1050 dominators which worked well. My engine shop preffered them over the 1200 because of idle characteristics

It really shouldn't be a reliablity issue as long as your not on the ragged edge and use good parts. I have had many blower motors with very little problems that weren't self inflicted. Plus nothing...

If you add a 14-71 with about 6#s of boost you should be just over 900 hp. I did this same combo a couple of yrs ago.
