OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE BOAT DEMONSTRATION "RACE"

The "Offshore Demonstration Race" will feature high performance power boats in a staged offshore powerboat race. Each heat will consist of 10 - 12 boats in a predetermined sequence around a triangular course in the southern most end of Lake George. The course lay out will maximize the ability for shoreline based spectators on Beach Road as well as from the restaurants and bars on the west side of the lake.

There will be 4 different offshore demonstration events beginning at 12:00 noon and ending at 4:00 PM. We expect between 30 and 40 boats to participate.

As of this morning, Sharkey-Images will be in a HELICOPTER tomorrow for the RACE.

Didnt they try this last year only to have permits denied like 2 weeks before race?

That was the Poker Run....

This is something completely different. It more of an exhibition hosted by local businesses...

Yes, but ALL the permits are in place this year. Mainly because its NOT a poker run, but a demo race in a contained area.

I think that everyone including the LGPC is on board. Should be a fun time and kickoff to hopefully a better summer for everyone than last.
