N J P P C Atlantic City Poker Run Photos W T F ???
As some may know, my coverage of the Atlantic City Poker Run has been slowly making it to the website this week.
As noted on my website:
"ATTENTION !!!!!!
Please be advised there will be a slight delay in processing the images and getting them uploaded online due to a family emergency. I will do my best to get images online as soon as possible...
Thank you for your patience..."
My wife was admitted into the hospital back home on Saturday June 23rd while I was shooting in Atlantic City. Needless to say, my coverage ended and I rushed to the hospital. She finally was released this past Saturday afternoon. Between being at the hospital and taking over her job running the household, I managed to work on the images overnight each night while the kids were asleep.
It's been a long week . She will continue treatment as an outpatient at this point but sure glad to have her back home.
ALL PHOTOS FROM ATLANTIC CITY POKER RUN ARE NOW ONLINE !!!
SPECIAL THANKS to STATEMENT MARINE for sponsoring the helicopter for Sharkey-Images and allowing the opportunity to shoot all of the boats in the event.
STATEMENT MARINE really saved the day with the chopper.
As been reported by Speed on the Water this year's Poker Run was anything but normal. The worst Storms many NJPPC members have ever been caught in while in their boat. Many thought the Chopper had gone back to the airport but instead with my pilot having Radar onboard he managed to keep us out of the hail, lighting and everything else mother nature wanted to throw at us that day.
It was amazing to shoot this event under these conditions. While we waited south of Barnegat Inlet in somewhat sunny skies, I watched to the North hoping some of the boats would eventually come out of the darkness .
The brand new Spectre cat was the first of the rooster tails I saw and we went after them. Not seeing anyone behind him were were able to stay on them for quite a while. They gave me plenty of opportunity to get what I needed...
Enough reading already .....
