Bogus Boatpix billings
Has anyone received an invoice from Boatpix saying your payment is overdue and it will be sent to a lean attorney if it isn't paid immediately?
Another site I go to which is mostly sport fishing guys has a thread going where dozens of people have received the same notice. Boatpix does alot of sport fishing tournaments and apparently, many of these people have called boatpix and they all have had the same answer "sorry, our mistake" and they clear the bill.
Are they hoping that a few will simply bite & pay the bill??

Yep, a few HRPA members received emails from them including myself. I sent them a reply stating they were in error because I had not requested or received any photos from them in years. The first email reply from them said they would look into it. the second simply said:
"To Whom It May Concern:
As promised, this letter is to confirm that you have no debt with BOATPIX.com as of 12/31/05. We have cleared all records of any debt with our company.
This will be the last contact initiated by us."
Old School told me he saw a thread going on another web site about it being a scam. But why would Boatpix risk further damaging their already piss poor reputation?

Dave, start paying your bills and you won't get notices like that anymore.

I got the same bill. I responded to them and they said they would check into it. I then received the "To Whom It May Concern" email as stated above.
