We Drove "Poker Face"
Just got back yesterday from five days in Jacksonville for the Firefighters Poker Run.
What an awesome time and an awesome display of hardware.
Other then the 96 to 98 degree temps everyday it was a real blast.
Jeff "Steel Outlawed" and myself along with a 35 Fountain ran on the outside Friday down to St. Augustine and we toured the city an had a good time.
The party Thursday night was awesome, the wings and beer at the docks Friday night after the fun run were great as usual, then off to the Landing for the band and bikini show!
Then the Poker Run Saturday was a rush. Our boat ran flawlessly all weekend and it was a blast.
While at the Outback Crab Shack Blane with Baja told me that he wanted me to drive Poker Face, so I rounded up Jeff and after the run was over we put her through the paces.
WOW, that is one solid built screaming machine!
I drove her first heading up stream against the current and she GPS'd at 86 MPH. Acceleration to 70 MPH was incredible, and from 70 to 80 MPH was shocking. The boat just moved on up to the top speed of 86 MPH fast and was extremely stable. I crossed some wakes and it was as solid as my 36 at 75 MPH.
I stopped and turned the controls over to Jeff and he got 89 GPS out of her running back with the current.
It was 96 degrees out, we had four people on board and 80 gallons of fuel.
That was a real treat that made it a special weekend for us.
Many thanks to Baja for building such a sweet boat and to Blane for giving us the chance to see first hand what see will do.
I heard from many boat owners of Fountains, NorTechs, and other brands that they were VERY impressed at how "Poker Face" ran at this event.
Also Baja won the trophy for the best tow vehicle with the Poker Face International CXT.
Thank you again Baja for helping to sponsor this event and supporting all the Baja owners that showed up with hats, shirts, etc.

Re: We Drove "Poker Face"
Friday night we caught a ride back to the hotel in the new CXT tow vehicle.
Jason is the young fellow that has the job of moving Poker Face around the country.
Baja was the trophy for the BEST tow vehicle there this weekend.

Glad to hear your boat was running good. Ive got my props out getting worked to see if i can squeeze that last little out of it.
