Joe Bresciami EASTERN EXPRESS R I P
I recived a phone call today that Joe Bresciami had passed away Sunday. Joe was the owner driver of the Eastern Express Skater powerboat, and Eastern Produce company in Detroit.
Joe started racing Offshore in 1990 with OPT after seeing the success his home town friend Bob Kaiser had in past years. With his rookie season behined him Joe was ready to step it up and purchased a new 32' Skater to run in P class with OPT. And later racing with APBA and USO Joe Won many race's and one World Championship from 1992 to 1995.
As his Crew Chief I can say, Joe was a Great Racer, Gentleman and Friend.
Joe Rest In Peace !

I remember seeing Joe Bresciami of Eastern Express Fame racing back in 1992 or a little later on Lake St. Clair, at Metro Beach or at Emerald City Marine on Lake St. Clair. Eastern Express was one of the top boats in Offshore Powerboat Racing for a few years. The memory of Joe Bresciami and the famed Eastern Express will live on for years and may he rest in peace. Condolence's to Joe's family.

I sat next to Joe for every race, he gave me a job doing what i loved throttling a boat I hope he enjoyed his success on the "earth race circut" Joe, a great joker loved to count laps by how many times we passed the competition (we always lost count) Joe enjoyed a multi year battle with the Duntimans in the Agitator finaly winning on home turf at the quake on the lake race. His silent swager was always a give away that someone (usually me ) was going to be set-up. He lived a wild life, lone time "dead head" worked hours at a job from 1am to 12.pm 6 days a week running a wholesale produce co. beans cabage okra he was the man! He left the earthly race site touching many ,a true gentelman of the sport and life.. HAY JOE, if you see a checkered flag just keep going till you run out of gas, it worked for us for all those races. *"Hay ,we paced this guy long enough, give it some gas get out of here"(* joe) THANK YOU- THE BRESCIAMI FAMILY FOR A CHANCE OF A LIFE TIME. rk
