Default Anti-freeze leaking from 496

I went out the other day to charge the batterys and noticed that the anti-freeze resivoir was empty .I did some looking around the bilg and found the missing anti-freeze . I started checking around the engine and found anti-freeze leaking around a seal that connects the heat exchanger to the crossover tube . Has anyone had any similar problems on a 496 Mag HO ? The engine is still under the factory warrenty, but the dealer is over an hour away so I was thinking about fixing myself . Is this an easy fix . Or do you think that there are bigger problems other than a bad seal ?

I just bought a new set of these last summer and also have coolant leaks, I found that a lot of the hose clamps were not as tight as they should be and tightened them up , seamed to help. I haven't seen my heat exchanger leak yet. any one else?

you should have your dealers contact mercruiser about this.we had a customer that ruined an engine for the same reason.

Thanks for the help . Maybe I should talk to the dealer before I attempt to fix.

Did you fix your leak on this? If so, what was the cause/solution.
