Default New 43 Sunsation F4 - pictures

Ok, here are some pictures of work in progress on the new 43 foot Sunsation. I have some others on another computer, but it isn't hooked to the home network until tomorrow. Those are from before the dominator nose, swim platform and fairing got put on, but I can show a couple that will give you a feel for the depth of the interior. I will post them later this weekend.

Looks very good.

Did they add ~1 foot to the hull length (running surface) near the rear bench area? Cool process!

Ya, they added 1 foot to the engine compartment to accomodate staggered engines.

Here is a picture that gives you a feel of the depth of the boat. There is also a picture of the cockpit liner. For perspective, my friend is 5'11"

Mental Pause, how tall are you, just trying to gage headroom. Also, note the anchor locker in the 43 and 50 Nortech, it comes in handy, and worth a few extra bucks. Keep the pics coming, Thanks Jeff

Jassman, that is a friend of mine in the pictures. He is 5' 11". Hard to tell with all the framing, but the cabin maintains pretty good height moving forward to the V birth. I didn't measure it all the way forward at the V birth, so not sure what it is.

Do you know where I can get some more information on the anchor locker in the Nortech? I looked for their website but couldn't find it on Google.

They make it in house, just bulkheaded off, glassed in with drain tube at the bottom. Nortech put Awlgrip to finish it off. Then they constructed a simple pvc tube that hold the anchor in place, just slides in, its real simple, but sure comes in handy. I keep rags, squeegy, and all my Waxing Friendly stuff in there. Jeff

Thanks. I was even thinking of talking the the guys at Sunsation about the feasibility of putting a windlass in that area with the switch right in the anchor compartment. You could color code the rope to tell you when to turn if off and bring it the rest of the way in by hand. But then again, that is getting pretty lazy.

There should be plenty of room in front of the front bulk head for the anchor locker. I agree you that you need something in there to hold the anchor in place. I have a friend with a 388 hustler that placed his anchor up there for a couple seasons with nothing holding it in place. Then it was time to do some glass repair.
