My new 2007 30 SKater
Earlier this week, I spent some time at Skater. I have been there before, and every time I
visit, I see more of what makes Skater, the ‘best in the world’ at what they do.
The moment I walked in the door, every person, from the reception person, to Peter, made
me feel welcome and important. After noticing how I was treated, I began to notice the
attention detail, in every sense. From the cleanliness of the production floor, to the
production layout, to the people doing the work. Next I noticed both the combination of
technical innovation (watching various layers and materials being introduced to the
lay-up), and individual craftsman going about the business of building boats, one at a
time, by hand. At the end of the day, I was somewhat sad to leave, but I knew that my
boat project was in good hands, and would be completed to the highest level of quality.
My 2007 30 Skater is coming along. Attached are 3 pictures.
Many more pictures are at my web site www.dkorinc.homestead.com
