to this, I'm rerigging the boat with twin 300xs's, electric power steering with dual helms, new interior with 2-tone purple (some carbon material) with yellow and silver accents, new garmin dash mounted gps, stereo with am/fm/cd,dvd,mp3, sd card slot and i-pod interface, 4-10's and two 6's with 7" monitors in the headrests along with fore and aft cameras. I'm making a cutom carbon fiber dash cleared with a purple candy tint to mount the new guages etc. I'm also using new latham rams..the list goes on.
if anyone needs parts I have a bunch of like new stuff

Keep the pics and info coming. I have thought of going from 3 to 2. If not to personal could you add costs, like how much to fill the transom etc.
Why didnt you just keep the 2 of the 280's ? They can be a little bit of a bear (mixing oil and gas) but they will smoke any of the newer engines with a little bit of work.

I'll definately keep the pics coming. I'll have about 8k in labor to re-rig it which includes filling the transom and any holes from previously mounted hardware. The reason I went with the 300xs was, for me an easy decision. fuel economy, torque, warranty

Hey quincy
You need to get the family over here and spend a weekend with us.
Yahoo it worked out a bit better selling the 280's more than covered the cost of the 300's
