I have Talked with John B several times. Great guy and has been a lot of help. His boat is an Open Cockpit Model. i would have bought his boat if it would have been for sale and if he would have taken a trade for my 37 OL. John B's boat is a great boat, best of both worlds go fast and cabin and very clean.
I have decided to leave the 1.24 gears for now until I get to do some testing. the boat is currently being re rigged at GT Performance. It needed some TLC and some detailing.
Next will be paint during the winter. To many themes and designs for me. Should be going out for 3 or 4 days to Lake Mead in another week and half.
I currently have Merc 16 1/2 x 35 5 blades to start with and I have a set of nice Herring's 17 x 33 5 blades from my OL but I have been told the 17" Diameter will lift the back to much. I am hoping that maybe Herring can cut them down to 16 1/2.
Currently 1" Spacers. Don't know X dimension yet.

are the drives turning in or out, in should give you bow lift, out is going to lift the stern, herrings typically have a little more rake...with your 1.24, about 5% slip, your 33's should see 144, your 35 152

Congrats! Very Nice!
I was told by Johnny T who rigged my boat that all the 36's he has done have turned in-All 3 that I have been involved in turned in
my boat is 3 3/4" above the bottom and works best with a 16 1/2" diam prop-NO spacer-
had a 1" spacer in a 36 canopied race & 1/2" in a 1050+hp 36 race/pleasure

Fast Franko I assume 3 3/4 above bottom means the bullet on the outdrive is 3 3/4" above the bottom of the boat when level? What drive ratio are you running with how much HP and what props?

Pro1 why has he been kicking himself? I have abrand new set of 1.35 to 1 Gear sets ready to go if i don't like the 1.24 to 1.
I bought the 1.35 to 1 because I figured that i wouls loose some mid range acceleration with the 1.24.
