Not everyone will be into the absolute top end, best number they can reach. It takes alot of setup time and tricks to accomplish numbers like that. I was just listing what is possible in these boats.

Its pretty hard to classify a 28 Skater as a full pleasure boat. They are pretty bare bones to begin with. Jim's boat has been very fast with nothing in it, but dont you think all of the other claims are light on fuel, back seat out, etc? I bet 118.7 is your best run. How much fuel were you running?

My 28 ran 119 with 95deg temp 70gal gas, myself and Joe in the Everglades(high humidity, and alligators) of course my motors had just left Diamond Marine, not stock 2.5`s.. 32x15 3 blade labed props.I am sure it would have run faster with more testing, but that was plenty fast for me!

Not trying to be a dick...but I dont believe it. For one thing the 300 promax's fall on their face after 6300 unless they are modified. I am not just talking about raising the rev limiter because its obvious that was done. Also, with all the additional weight in the boat...it just doesnt add up. I believe I talked to that guy through pm on screamandfly. I need to see that to believe it. He is faster than every single stock 300x boat and we all know the 300x's are quite a bit more powerful than the promax's. I have a friend that has been faster than that with 300x's, he has a lot of work and setup time in the boat. Not to mention no fuel, no interior.

He pulled away from my 32 at 116. Maybe his Garmin lies, but it locked in 124. Motors are modified slightly. Ecus done by Rapair. Its mainly set up and Bblades prop work. Never ran over 116 until last new set.
