I have ridden in that boat at 118 w/5 people. That boat is what really started me on Skaters. We were on the Potomac River in MD on very calm water. We turned to come back to the dock and crossed a huge roller from my boss's 45' cruiser. At about 100, the boat launched landed and kept on rolling, much different feel than my 28. That boat was awesome!

And your 28 would´ve done in this scenario ?

just outta interest as a 28 Skater and a 32 A is nearby.

The 28 is a much smaller boat not to mention the comparison is O/B vs Sterndrive. A 28 is not a boat that you want to go jumping cruiser wakes with. Both boats have their purpose but in rough water the 32 Skater wins hands down.

As Dreamboater says, totally different boat, I have had both, 28' and a 32' Classic, and put alot of hours on both, the 28' is a little rocket, and if you are running in protected waters, light chop, the 28' will get your blood flowing, with the right set up and motors, either 330X or 280 2.5 race, the boat is capabable of high teens or 120 ,, the 32' will be no where as fast, or quick, but when the water kicks up, the 32' will be a blast, it eats up big water, it can run close to 100 through 3' footers, and will top at 100-103 with 300x engines. your boating area should dictate either the 28' or 32'

Ittl do it. Keep it tucked n and on top and you will scoot over the top. We raced a 32 tripp for years, never had a problem in Point Pleasant
