24 Skater ride in rough water????
A friend of mine is thinking of buying one. How's it going to handle 1.2m or 4 foot seas. Not rolling swells but stand upish and close together. What will it be like straight on,running parallel or following.
We don't have lakes over here. It's the pacific ocean.
I know on here we all love our Skaters but a purchase is pending so need some real imput.

Unless your friend is a real hands on kinda guy with a lot of time behind the wheel of a cat, i would pick something bigger....The 24 is a very fast, very stable boat, but it takes a lot of adjustment to keep them settled......I had one for about 6 months and sold it because it was not cut out for the family....

That 24 will not handle 4' waves very well. You can do it for a while but it will be a very rough ride and dangerous. Tell him to get a 36 or 40 for that kind of water.

I drove a friend of mines' 24 on a Saturday afternoon a few Summers back, and you can go run around in 1-3's or so and have fun. The boat will easily go through rougher water, but you wouldn't want anyone riding in the back, or to be out in it for very long. It is not an ocean boat.
