Question Skater fuel tanks

Sorry guys I have a stupid question, what is being done when they send the boats to Skater or wherever to have the tanks redone? Could someone give me the story,I am sure it probably has something to do with ethanol? Thanks

They reline the tanks with a different epoxy that is ethanol resistant.
