I boat 12 months a year.

Winter time, mostly FMO runs, 1 a month Oct, Nov, Jan 1, Feb, Mar and Apr, plus an overnight run to Sarasota in mid Jan.

I will keep you all posted . Also my bezel is about half the size of Stainless marine and has zero exposed screws on top side as well as being offered for flat dash or 15 degree angle as in what is used on my 32 Skater . Do you have HP clamps ?

Larry

I know this is a Skater thread and I'm not in the brotherhood but...

How does the trim work on 300XS's? I've never been able to get my Smart Craft to display motor trim. External only monitoring only?

Fellow boater, makes you a brother

My Livorsi/Merc Smatrscraft SC5000 race edition shows
the trim, from the electritical sensor on the 300XS.

I also have mechanicial connection to cable for the Stainless Marine display, below my GPS, see photo in pst #8.

I have the Smartcraft Raceviews and have had smartcraft analog trim guages as well as vessel view. They all read trim. Do you have smartcraft. Maybe the boat was rerigged with new power but is using the old analog harness. By the way the electric indicators if the sensor is working are very accurate also.

Hmmm.... I must have an electrical sensor on my 300XS's that isn't hooked up correctly, or at all. I'll have to see if I can find an electrical pinout to see what goes where.

Yes, I have SmartCraft and I bought the boat new in 2007 (with 2007 power, rigging, etc, not a re-rig).

twin 300XS's
(1) SC5000 but it is System View (not race view)
(2) SC1000 tachs (with the Smartcraft window at the bottom of them)
(1) SC1000 speedo (same window at the bottom)
(2) SC1000 systems monitors (small square LCD screens)

Based on this page:

http://www.livorsi.com/catalog/smartcraft.htm

I have 6 gauges that should display trim level...

If you scroll through data on your tachs using the center button it should show trim. You can also add mercury analog trim gauges. They need to be smartcraft compatible. Livorsi has them also.
