It's a beautiful boat. Seen it a few times. It was originally a 40, it's widened 10" then a few years ago they put a bigger longer bussel on it. It's obviously bigger and heavier than the 36 & 38, but defiantly better in the rough.

It's a 2 step bottom and the new 40SS has a 5 step bottom. It's a very nice boat.

whats the performance differences between the 2 step and 5 step? I see fight club has 4 seat back the blue one for sale has 3 are they just smaller seats in fight club looks that way in pic? what will the 2 step run for speeds with 1075 merc power without propping way high so no acceleration?

Speed is 5 to 7mph difference between the 2 and 5 step, 5 step being faster and better acceleration. The 410 has steps into the cockpit instead of 4 seats, the factory can fix that for a small charge. The gear in the blue boat has a lot to do with the speed, it had 1550hp Sterlings so if you went with 1075 Merc's you would probably want to change gears. The red, white and blue 40' classic with stock Merc 1075's had a top speed of 150 to 153mph with 4 or 5 people in the boat and 2/3 fuel and the right gear, prop and set up for all around performance but it is not a widened hull.
