That's a very nice 338 you're selling, but take my advice - when you make the jump up in size, step up to a 388. The 368 isn't a big enough jump to warrant the large amount of money you're going to spend to get into a bigger boat. The 338 really runs just like a 32B in the rough, and there's not a big enough difference between a 338/32B and a 368 in the rough to make it worthwhile, imo. I don't blame you for wanting to go bigger, as there's no comparing the 338/32B to a 388/40 when the water get's nasty. But trust me on this one - I've owned my 30 for 10 years, and I've also spent a lot of time in a 36 (poker run and raced the ex Fountain/Mercury 36 with Rod Karnofel), though the 36 does ride much better than a 30/32B in the rough - if I ever made the jump to a bigger Skater, it would definitely be a 388! Good luck with the sale on Sam's old rig - it is an awesome piece for sure!
Helt has one hell of a boat for sure. I cannot believe he is even considering selling it with the Smith Power as those where amoung the last if not the last Brad built. I just remember the call from Brad saying we had a problem and I was thinking what next. Then he tells me how much he exceeded our horsepower goals by. My only response was well that's a good problem to have..
Great boat and I'm still waiting for my ride in it lol!
