Default Throttle linkage 300x

Im using Latham sticks designed for Morse 33c cables 3.25 inch travel and Merc 300x motors with a 2.25 inch travel and cant get full throw on the sticks? Best is about an inch from the back/front of the throttle base plate.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Latham was very helpful but has no solution. Im thinking about relocating the attachment point on the throttle plates?

Any ideas would be very helpful!

Thanks,

Joe,
Not sure I understand what you are saying. I have had two sets of 300x motors. On my 28 had Latham Throttles and on my 30 Marine Machine throttles. Both seem to have full travel with no issues.
I adjusted it so when the throttles were hammer down they were just touching the stops.
I then also made sure the throttle body was wide open and adjusted the stop on the engine also.
Maybe you can post some pics. Is there more than one spot where you can hook the cables to the throttle/shift assy for the amount of travel.

Another thought what ends are you using on the cables. I used the morse ones. You can change the position of the sticks based on where the holder for the cable is positioned. I believe there are 3 different places to install the cotterpin. I can take a look at mine this weekend and post some pics if it helps.
