Boat looks like its going to be ready on my b day March 31 for a Miami weekend in her.
Then it's to Boat Customs for the rear hatch to be completed by Lake Race at LOTO.
Taking suggestions on cowlings vinyl. I hate the factory Merc look on the 300s. Love how the did the 400s.
I'm thinking of copying the 400s scheme and maybe adding a little Skater to the mix...

Thanks
We decided to go all the way and do it right instead of 1/2 ass. No expense will be spared. Nothing will be left less than perfect.
I expect the full restoration to be a year but it should be 85% done by summer. Probably going to paint after Labor Day..

Crazy - Nass cowls eliminate water intrusion vs. factory cowls... but you maintain a warranted engine.. can't win for loosing

Those were not the cowlings with the voided warranty. The ones in question had the toaster style plate on the front with a big hole in it.
Just keep the stock ones and if you have a problem put them on before taking the boat to the dealer and or throw some bucks to the guy that does your warranty work. Problem solved.
