I am curious too.....he has been working on his boat for Many Years! Do it yourself, That's Great, but How can you be an "Expert " on handling and power, when you have yet to drive your boat???
I owned my 28Skater for 13yrs and had stock 2.5s 280hp, then Diamond Marine modified 2.5s 340hp Dynoed, ran 122 first time out with 70gals fuel, 95deg day, high humidity in the Everglades at Holiday Park.
Finally I had 300XS installed,...first stock, then minor mods by Shaun Torrente....with 300XS before my boat went to Shaun, it would cruise 80mph @5000, & WOT was 105.
After Shaun did some minor Tweeking and a Lot of Set Up and Dialing in...Cruise went to 90mph @ 5000 & WOT 116mph. Over the 13yrs of ownership, I logged well over 400+hrs on the hull, I spent most of the time at 90-110mph (3 sets of motors and 3 complete re riggs.
I sold my 28Skater in January, she is in Bermuda Racing with team S20 Bermuda Racing.....first race the other week, driver and throttle man with only a couple of hrs seat time....still Won their 1st Race.
I am now seriously shopping for a 36Skater Classic with #6 & 900s -1100s. I have looked at a few, taking my time, for the Perfect for me 36Skater Classic!!

400Rs are the way of the future....Hence XCat is running them with 15"mids.....once those mids are readiliy available, that will drop the weight a good bit. And decrease height.
There was a pleasure Canopy DW built this past winter and then rigged by Grants Racing, I belive it was running 124 or 126, I can't remember exactly.
And the 2 Strokes will be Gone soon.....I heard within the next 2 yrs, Mercury will discontinue...again, what I was told.

DW canopy ran 124 and there is a DW full windshield hull being rigged right now at Grants with 400Rs. U.S. Merc website now has the 400ROS on it so just a matter of time until these are running around.

I heard that too! Also heard a 32DW with 300xs's went 122 or something! Heard a Eliminator light, down wind, down river with a tow went 125 or so too. We hear a lot of things. Not many things documented on here!!!!
In the world of IPHONES/GO PRO and cameras would be easy to show the real deal!

Gotta love the internet!!!
Just having some fun!! Carry on!

Ron you are just trying to sell some more cameras. You know that Eliminator defies the hydrodynamic laws of physics! Lol

no need to be bashing on each other up in here LOL we are all skater OB brothers If uncle sam hadn't made us go "green" those 300x would be 400's by now huh??? so along comes the 400 four stroke that weigh more...that will change I'd imagine and lets not forget that it's a super charged engine with, at this time a secure ecm...we all know that will change as well. i'm think things will get better for the four strokes quick. lots of them out there and with the trend to performance CC's you know it's just a matter of time!

I wish there was a "really like" button for this post.
