Default Vessel View 7

Since I upgraded from Vessel View Race to the "7", I have not been able to configure a screen that shows digital RPM, speed, temp and water pressure all at the same time like my "Race" screen would show. Has anyone done this?

What can you get on one screen?

David. I can't do that on my VV7 either but I can get close on my Garmin Screen. You can set all those data fields up as analog gauges then toggle to show a digital read at the bottom of the analog gauge.

I set up an engine page on the Garmin to show speed, RPM, temp, pressure and boost. Only problem is no charts and if you do a split screen with charts and gauges you can't do all the above. Also you run out of fields so you can't add fuel gauges. The new MTI had a huge display and a lot of digital data.

I agree with you it's not allowing us to configure digital readout with pertinent data on the VV7. Steve has digital read out on trim on his VV7 and I can only get analog.

Call Mercury racing, you might need a software update. They configured mine for me exactly the way I wanted it. I have digital readout for rpm, digital speed, water pressure, remaining fuel and trim position in %. Super easy to read at a glance.

You typically can get software updates on web site. I just saw they have a VV702 now. Display looks much like what you want. I thought mine was updated in July at TNT but may not have been. I'll check software version this weekend.

Just got off the phone with Mercury racing. Bottom line is that the VV7 will not support Digital - RPM, speed, water temp and water pressure on the screen at one time. Looks like I can get Water Pressure in the upper left box, Water Temp. in the lower left box, but RPM will be the sweeping analog look that really does not give much relevant data ( no numeric RPM). Ugh! You may be able to substitute Water Temp. for RPM in one of the boxes. I guess I would rather have pressure than temp and let the warning horn alert me about temp?? OR - as Ron Muller suggested, import the engine parameters onto the Garmin. I miss my VV Race!
