32B Skater
Any info on how this boat would run with #6 and 700's or 850's?
How is the rough water handling and how safe is the boat? I understand that any boat is as safe as the driver but obviously certain handling characteristics are different and inherent to design, etc.
Would a 30 with 300XS be a better family boat?
Or would it be better to buy a CC for family outings and the 32B to have fun with.
Just curious to get some opinions.

We have had a 32B for 19 years that originally had carbureted 800's with the 6's and it was a very nice package. We have since upgraded to injected 950's for a little more speed. With the weight of the 6's the boat runs best above 80, and it really likes to cruise at 100. It's obviously not going to handle rough stuff as well as a bigger boat but IMO it handles well and is rock solid at 100.
As far as it being a family boat, that really depends on what you are looking for... the 32B (or pretty much any Skater for that matter) is built to take 5 or 6 people for a thrill ride. If you're looking to hang out on the boat all day and socialize, go with the CC and get a Skater as your "fun" boat. If you're looking to cruise safely at 100mph all day, you can't go wrong with the 32B.

I have a 2006 32B Skater Quarter Canopy with Aluminum trailer and Arneson ASD 7M.
The boat will be for sale in the fall. I will sell it no motors but include the exhaust and motor mounts ready to go.
Boat was built with ethanol resistant resin. Tanks are all good.
