do i need more setback

i have 24 skater with 260s 6 inck setback, it seems i trim a whole lot to acquire 110 mph , props are spun inwards, it seems every tap of the trim button you can feel the boat just take off

The props turning in creates alot of stern lift. It is also alittle hairy running a cat that way. I wouldn't go with more set back. I would think you should be between 1.5-2 inches above the bottom. I would think your boat is nearing its top speed around 110.

110 is pretty dam Fast. Is there a reason you need to go 120+ in a 24 Skater. I worry you could get hurt. Be sure to wear a helment and lifeline.

I do not think a 24' will go 120 and NO it doesn't need to. The 28 is a much freinlier boat and safer. As for the 22 Talon those speeds are with GIANT blower motors or hopped up grenade outboards. 110 in a 24' is PLENTY FAST.

Yes you need more set back.I put on 6 inches last summer and picked up 2mph.If I had the money to buy 16" with new cables, etc I would do it.I also need excesive trim to make her fly.Your not alone.Right now I'm looking for one peice exhaust plates so I can run transome mounted water pickups.I'll be intaling those next month so I can raise my motors.I know for a fact this will give me more than 3mph.
