There is a lot of work to do it right. Either leave it a single or take to someone who knows what there doing.

We can do it or there are others out there who are capable. Do the research first. We are a performance shop. All we work on are race boats.

One 300X will run the boat about 105+ mph. A single 2.5 efi or 300 Promax will run about 95+ mph. Twin 2.5 efi stock 280's will run 120+ mph. Drags will run 130+ mph.

already started working on it. I enjoy working on them as much as running them. I originally wanted a 21' to restore and rig with twins. When I started asking around about it no one knew to much about 21's with twins. Everybody I have talked with tells me to go with a single and the boat will handle better. they said its too much weight and the boat will not fly flat etc...You are the first to have anything positive to say about it so you got me thinking again! I think they would turn better with 2skegs and not be as hard on the lowers. moving battery's forward getting rid of the heavy skater rear seat etc. and adding ballast tanks, counter rotate all seems like it would make it an impressive little boat.

You don't need a ballast tank. What motors are you going to put on it and what rpm are they capable of?

To heavy, won't work, will not handle well at all, if you rig it for twin four strokes. You have to use 2 stroke or forget it.

Unless you know where there is a good set of 2.4's, they are getting hard to find. 2.5's are easy to find and the parts are still everywhere. I would look for a set of 1999 or newer with the alternators. PM me your phone number. I won't to talk to you about something.

um.....a 225 ProMax is a 2.5???? Why would it be too heavy. The boat would run great with twin 225 ProMaxes.
