Re: going to pick up new 2 me 386
Congrats and great looking boat. I have seen it out a couple times.
Remember to store your Sonic with the nose pointing up (significantly). This is the best way for water to drain out of the boat, due to the tubes for drain water transfer laying deep in the keel.
Also, can't tell from the picture, but it is extremely important to have the main bunks extend past, or at the very least, meet the edge of the transom. Its bad if the boat overhangs off the end of the bunks. (Boat will develop an unnatural hook in the hull.)
If you do a search here in this Sonic Forum, you will see the details on the 'step pads' we had Eddie Marine design for the Sonics several years ago. They replace those nasty white plastic ones in the cockpit.

Also, go to Home Depot or Lowes, and pick up a couple lengths of the gray foam pipe insulation that you wrap around the water lines in your house.
Remove the adhesive down the slit (it peels right off), and place the foam down the length of your windscreen before you put your cockpit cover on, either for storage or towing. (You may have to splice two lengths together with shrink wrap tape.) This will protect your windscreen from abrasion damage from the cover as well as keep the cover fitting snugly.
Works like a charm.
