Default Hydromotive props

Who is running Hydromotives? I'm going to try 27" Hydromotives this weekend. Theoretically the extra stern lift should give my 386 extra speed. I'm still going to have to sabotage carrboy's 386 to beat him though.

Watch your rpm's as to not overrev. They don't give as good a hole shot (so to speak) as bravo 1's but may help in top end.

No idea what model. The dealer gave them to me to try, and I don't see any markings on them.

Ran briefly today. 68*F, dead flat water, full fuel tanks, 4500 rpms and 65mph on Gaffrig speedo. Didn't have my GPS in the boat, I will tomorrow. If the speedo is accurate then I have 16% slip which is very high. My 31SS had 11%. Props were OK on the hole shot, very little bow rise but if these props are that inefficient then I am going to switch to Bravo 1's. I used 28" (they're what was on the boat when I sea trialed it) and pulled 4200 rpm's 1/2 tank, 62mph

Just realized the 28" B1's work out to 16% slip also. I think I better verify speedo accuracy!

Does anyone know the slip for their 386?

Verified my speedo is correct with my GPS. The hydromotives really bury the bow, can't get it loose from the water. Want's to stuff in 3-4', like the tabs are down, nose drops when I throttle after launching over a wave. I think labbed 26" B1's will be the ticket for me.

Thanks for the offer, but the dealer is getting the 26's for me.

Ran the 26 B1's, 77*F, flat water, full tanks. 4500 rpm's, 66mph, 11% slip. Much better. I think a lab job, some chop, and 150 gallons less fuel should get me there.
