Do you keep it in the water or on the trailer in the summer??Longest we ever keep ours in the water is for 1 week in the summer..Other than that it is just for the weekend and back on the trailer..Never had a problem..

The first time I kept it in the freash water for 3 weeks it started happening, and it seems strange it blistered only with the ppg lemon ice (yellow) color ? the same thing happened to me with my 26 sonic with the yellow color , also have a friend with a 26 sonic and there yellow blistered ?

No paint blistering here, and mine also has some Lemon Ice yellow below the water line but it's always been in fresh water and left in the water for only for a couple days at a time according to the previous owner.

What I have heard the paint is automotive paint and it doesn't like being in water a long period of time. If you trailer your boat or have it on a lift you shouldn't have a problem.

The problem I have with that statement is , that there are several other performance boat brands in the marina that stay in the water for longer periods of time and nobody has 1 blister !

We have a 2001 31SS and our paint blistered under the gas vent. At the beginning of 2007 season we filled up and the boat sat on the trailer for a couple days and the gas came out the vent and blistered the paint

The lemon ice seems to the biggest culprit. Check some other posts about paint issues. The only real repair is to sand the area down recolor and clear with a better quality clear.

As we speak the blistered paint below the water line (lemon ice) is being sanded down and repainted and the whole boat being re- clear coated . heard that the problem from a reliable source was a problem with the clear coat. would have been nice that the "new sonic" took care of there old loyal owners. spoke to lenny awhile ago about this and he did'nt want want to touch this issue !!!
