Fresh water flush Questions

On my 280 Sonic SS I have fresh water flush hose hook ups, 1 for each engine on the transom. My question is can I actually run the motor with the hose hooked up there, or would I burn up the impellars. I come from the land of 10000 lakes and they are all fresh water. Just curious as I have never had a boat with this option.

You can run the engines on them. Thats what they are for.

Thats what I was thinking, Felt a little silly asking but its new to me. Like I said its all fresh water in MN, but its a better option when running it on the hose then sucking it up the drive. Thanks for the quick reply.

Not a problem, better safe than sorry. Just be sure the hoses from the flushes aren't kinked, it will all be good.
