Default ? about 28ss

hello. i have a few questions about a 95 28ss for sale here in my town. it has 200 hours, twin bbc, aluminum trip-axle trailer, complete rebuild w/ livorsi instruments, new paint/gelcoat, seats, etc. it looks really good for an older boat.
the dealer wants 37.5k for it. is this a good price? is this a good boat? and what is the average cost of ownership for something like this? i am new to civilian boating, so please, an info would be of great help. thank ya kindly.

I had always heard the 28 with twin big blocks was too stern heavy. Maybe someone else may have more knowledge on this. Otherwise the 28 is a nice boat, its a Sonic !

really, don't everyone answer at once....
thank you 45.
i am really debating getting this, but if it is one of those boats that's really not going to be worth it in the long run, why waste the money. if there are any others that can shed some light on this quandary of mine, please, feel free.

28 with BBC's have ride problems due to the stern weight. i would look for a 31 if you are looking for a twin motor sonic. 37k sounds about 10k high.

that does seem a bit high on the price. and yes they are tail heavy with twin big blocks. twin small blocks or a single big block is the way to go with that boat. other than that they are sweet boats and have a ton of cabin room and features.

i looked for a 28ss for months and finally found one, hard boat to find, i do not think 37 is to hight for one that is 100% redone and with upgrades. and about the twin BBC i have heard there stern heavy but i don't know i found one with a single BBC and i love it. just take it for a spin if you like it, you like it, if you don't then you don' t. it as easy as that. All i know is that i spent this past 4th of july i stayed on mine for 3 day on the island and no other 28' boat can beat the cabin it is awesome and a great ruff water boat for sure, rides like a caddi.
