Default 1995 Sonic 31SS Bulkhead Moisture

We are looking at purchasing a 1995 31SS and just had a survey completed. Everything looks to check out except one point. Moisture reading were found in the starboard bulkhead area. Any known issues with this particular area?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Can you be more specific as to the area you are referencing? In starboard aft area next to the passenger seating is the waste tank if one was installed. Also on starboard is the head area which has the sink water line and head waste and water lines if you have a pump out head installed. Does the boat have water pressure gauges? Could be a moisture issue with your onboard systems.

OR

In the area where the moisture reading was taken, any visible cracks on the outer structure of the boat, could be right in that area, forward, aft, port or starboard?

Again, exactly where was the moisture reading taken?

Thanks for the response. Reading was behind the rear seat, starboard side near the bilge floor. Reading near the floor showed wet and was dry about half way up. Port side was dry. Unfortunately, I could not be present for the survey.

No pump out head, and the water tanks were empty as the owner does not use sinks.

Talking with the owner, he was caught in the rain on Saturday. He was taking things apart in the rear seat area to try to see if he could see anything. Going to see it myself today and go from there.

Thanks again.

Jimmy
