Default 31 SS Value

Hey Guys:

I am in the process of listing my 2007 31SS in the classifieds section here on OSO and was looking for some guidance on asking price as to what is "reasonable". I don't want to "fire sale" it or give it away but I also don't want to be sitting on it for a year either. Just realistic (I know we all think our boats are worth more than we think). The boat is a 2007 31SS 496 HO's with about 140 hours. Boat is CLEAN and optioned nicely with a tri-axle aluminum trailer.

Thoughts would be appreciated as I'd like to list it on OSO this week.

Thanks,

Steve

There are not many 31 sonics on the market. There are several 2007 35 fountains with the same power listed 65-75k. There are also more of them so that brings there value down some. Just a wild guess 75k-80k. Like I said just a guess. There's a 2005 with every option and 500efi's that's bin for sale for a couple of years and its down to 77k last time I checked.

That's about in line with what I was thinking. Figured if I listed it for $ 75k I'd have some flexibility and end up somewhere in the upper 60's low 70's. At that ask should not scare off any truly interested buyers and with some flexibility I would hope it would move in a reasonable amount of time

I think you are spot on with that asking, you just have to be realistic. In a strong market maybe 85-90k. I sold mine one week after I listed it on powerboat listings. It was on craigslist for about 3 weeks. I sold it so fast because it was mint and priced right. Good luck, and if you have it in the spring I would come take a look. Im in baltimore and the 31 sonic is one of the boats on my list of likes.
