What should a 99 31SS run with 550hp a side?

Mine runs 78 with that power. I think the drives are too deep. So it could be significantly faster with shorty lowers.

That's part of the reason I never got around to trying them. That being said the boat will cruise at 55-60 under 3500rpm. Which is where the majority of my non idling time was spent.

My buddy just picked up an '04 with 525's. We ran it today in some chop and hit 81-82 with a pair of 5 blade 27's
